ANZAC Day at the Hibiscus Coast Community RSA

ANZAC Day is a cornerstone of our community calendar—a time to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of New Zealanders and Australians in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. Each year on 25 April, the Hibiscus Coast Community RSA brings our community together to remember, reflect, and pay our respects.

Dawn Service - 6:00am

Before first light we gather in quiet reflection for the Dawn Service, echoing the time the ANZAC troops landed at Gallipoli. This solemn service includes readings, hymns, the Ode of Remembrance, the Last Post, a minute’s silence, and the Reveille.
Time: 6:00am
Location: 43A Vipond Road, Stanmore Bay
All are welcome. Please dress warmly and arrive early. Poppy donations will be available on site.

Civic Service — 11:00am

Our Civic Service brings together veterans, serving personnel, whānau, schools, community groups, and local leaders for a formal commemoration later in the morning. Wreaths are laid, tributes are made, and names are remembered.
Time: 11:00am
Location: 43A Vipond Road, Stanmore Bay
Seating is provided for veterans and those with accessibility needs. Families and tamariki are warmly encouraged to attend.
